The Key — how to read a Weather Rock

If the rock is…then it is…
wetraining — "rock is wet" is the station's most common reading
drynot raining
whitesnowing
swingingwindy (or a cat; check for a cat)
warm to the touchsunny
casting no shadowovercast
hard to seefoggy, or night (bring a torch)
gonetornado. "Rock is gone" means take cover, and then check with Kevin.

Station Accuracy

100%

Every observation the rock has made has been correct at the time it was made. The rock has never once been wrong about now. Accuracy is calculated retroactively, which is the only fair way to calculate it.

A man called Mort, who runs a countdown on this website, checks the rock before announcing a date. He says if the rock is ever gone, he'll take it seriously. I told him it was gone in 2002. He said that one doesn't count, because of Kevin. He's right.
